Featured Speaker: Joel Greenberg
From Nazi Hunter to Philanthropist
As a Founder of Susquehanna International Group, LLP (“SIG”), Joel Greenberg served on SIG’s management committee from 1987- 2016. With more than 3000 employees worldwide, SIG’s operations include trading and market making, private equity and venture capital.
Before joining SIG, Joel was a trial attorney in the Honors Program of the Criminal Division of the United States Department of Justice from 1984-1986, where he primarily worked in the Office of Special Investigations (“OSI”). OSI’s mandate was to locate and deport Nazi war criminals who entered the United States.
Joel received a B.A. in History from the State University of New York at Binghamton in 1978, and a J.D., cum laude, from Fordham Law School in 1984. In 2010 and 2022, he served on two Education transition committees for the incoming Governors of Pennsylvania.
Joel is co-founder of Seed The Dream Foundation (“STDF”), an impact-driven family foundation focused on advancing academic achievement, fostering meaningful connections with Israel, ensuring dignity for Holocaust survivors, combatting hatred against the Jewish people, and addressing gender-based violence. Guided by the legacy of Joseph Gringlas z”l, a Survivor of Auschwitz, STDF philanthropy seeks to inspire hope and resilience.
