Senior Stories - Peri Sanders

"My involvement in Hillel at the University of Delaware began two summers ago when I was a participant on their Birthright Israel trip.

This 10-day experience changed my life. I was introduced to the culture and customs of my homeland and formed so many new friendships.

When thinking about what I would do post-graduation, I knew I wanted it to include traveling and teaching. It was then that I decided that I would return back to Israel through the Masa Israel Teaching Fellows program.

After graduation, I will be spending ten months immersing myself in Israeli culture and the Hebrew language, living in Netanya, volunteering and teaching English to Israeli children.

I am extremely grateful to UD Hillel for helping me build my connection to Israel and inspiring my decision to teach in Israel next year."
